Cristiano Ronaldo Ranks Outside The Top 5 In UEFA Forward Of The Year

For the first time in many years, Cristiano Ronaldo has finished outside the top 5 in the UEFA Forward of the year award. The Juventus forward finished eight on the most recent list of the best forwards as ranked by Europe’s governing football body.

Ronaldo might have had a spectacular season in 2019-20, but his performances have gone unnoticed by UEFA, probably because Ronaldo’s Juventus were unproductive yet again in Europe.

Yesterday, October 2, UEFA released a list of 10 best forwards of the past season with Cristiano Ronaldo ranking eighth on the list.

His arch-rival Lionel Messi, who also had a great season individually but not so much collectively, ranked at number 5. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski, who helped his German side to a historic treble and was the top scorer in all three of those competitions, became the award winner.
