Paul Pogba gave his opinion on the never-ending debate of Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi. Pogba wanted to make himself part of the debate that pins Leo Messi against Cristiano Ronaldo. Usually, there will be a clear choice between Ronaldo and Messi when you ask a football personality, but that’s not the same with the Frenchman.
The midfielder gave an answer that you usually don’t see every day and it’s probably the right one. Unlike the ones who like picking one above the other, Paul Pogba wanted to play it safe.
Moreover, the Manchester United star quite understands that there are those who love both legends equally but refuse to say one is better than the other. Besides, their stats are quite similar either way, so why even pick after all?
Paul Pogba on Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi Debate
During a Q&A reported by The Mirror, this is what Paul Pogba had to say about the biggest debate in football history: “It’s a nice but tricky question, as there is no best for me. Two different players. They are two players who both bring joy to watch. Any people are going to have their own opinion of them, just two legends. Me, I would just say they are two legends and not one is better than the other one.
“Just two people that give us football players, or football lovers, joy to watch. My toughest opponent on the pitch?” he went on. To be honest, it’s tough against N’Golo Kante. Casemiro too, he is a hard one also. I can’t remember all of them – they’re the first ones that come into mind, that I had. Yes, those are the first ones, maybe there are a few more players but I don’t have the names now.”
