Cristiano Ronaldo has earned a personal high yet again after topping the sports’ Instagram rich list with an eye-watering figure. The Portuguese forward is the king of Instagram with the most followers and now with an enviable paycheck that even the likes of Lionel Messi or LeBron James cannot rival.
The hyper-visual social platform has become a huge presence in the sporting world, with Ronaldo sitting comfortably as the world’s most-followed Instagram user on over 238 million followers.
Ronaldo, as the most-followed user on Instagram, has many perks that come with it, which includes a staggering fee of $889,000 for every post he makes, according to HopperHQ. That privilege has left Cristiano Ronaldo on top of the sports’ Instagram rich list with Instagram marketing firm estimating that he makes $185,000 more than second-placed Neymar per post and $194,000 further ahead of arch-rival Lionel Messi, who comes in third.
The inclusion of Neymar and Lionel Messi means that active footballers dominate the top three of the sports’ Instagram rich list. At the same time, football legend David Beckham and NBA star LeBron James joined them in the top-five at 4th and 5th respectively.
