Didier Deschamps Shares His Opinion About PSG’s Interest In Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has been a subject of transfer headlines recently, with Juventus understood not to be needing his services due to financial struggles when this season is due. It has quickly put the five-time Ballon d’Or winner on the radar of French giants Paris Saint-Germain for the upcoming summer transfer window in 2021. France national team coach Didier Deschamps has gone to give his opinion about the potential transfer.

Paris Saint-Germain is amongst the few clubs in the world that can meet the Juventus man’s wages. And it’s no secret that the French giants have been after either Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo for years but never got to complete a transfer. With both players now veterans but could still have a lot to offer at the top level, anything seems possible. Meanwhile, by the summer of 2021, the Portuguese would be 36 years of age. But even at that, he will still be considered among the Top 3 of the best players in the world next to possibly Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

What Ronaldo Could Bring To The French Side

A successful move to PSG could place the French champions back on track to fight for the Champions League in the coming seasons having managed to reach the final in the last campaign. Also, it is believed that Ronaldo’s arrival to the Ligue 1 would be fantastic news for the French League in general. As for Didier Deschamps, his opinion was very clear on the matter of Cristiano Ronaldo possibly plying his trade with the French side next summer.

Didier Deschamps Thinks Ronaldo To PSG Is Certainly Possible

Before Portugal Vs France Nations League League encounter last weekend, the French boss responded to all kinds of questions about the game. But one of the most interesting parts of his statement was when asked about a possible Ronaldo to PSG transfer next summer. Didier Deschamps was very clear with his response.

“Anything is possible in football. I think he is already in a great club. Ronaldo is one of the best players in the world, it’s natural to attract so many clubs for a player who accomplishes what he did. It’s normal for someone who can do the things he does. Now, I have no idea about him going to Paris. I know nothing about that but there’s no question he is an exceptional player who has improved over the years. He is part of the best,” said Didier Deschamps via Sport.
