PSG Sporting Director Hints At Cristiano Ronaldo Summer Transfer With Cryptic Message

PSG sporting director Leonardo Araújo has kept the door open for the potential arrival of Juventus hitman, Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer, stating that anything is possible in an unpredictable market.

The future of the 35-year old superstar has been uncertain lately, with the Bianconeri thought to be deeming him surplus to requirements. Recently, reports claimed that the Serie A defending champions no longer require his services as they weigh on cashing in on the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in the summer transfer window.

It is understood that the five-time Champions League winner’s enormous wage bills are proving difficult to handle by the Turin giants, especially in this time of financial crisis. It was the key reason for the club’s shock decision according to the report.

However, when it comes to prizing Ronaldo away from the Turin club, only a handful of clubs have the financial capability to do so such as Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City. That is if Juventus proceed on their plan to cash in on their superstar.

PSG Sporting Director Leonardo Araújo Fuels Ronaldo’s Summer Transfer

Following the speculations of Juventus planning to cash in on their big asset, PSG sporting director has recently fueled the transfer rumours by not ruling out a move for the Portuguese icon.

“Today in football we do not know what will happen,” Leonardo said on PSGTV when asked whether a move for Ronaldo is possible.

“Maybe tomorrow Cristiano Ronaldo wakes up and says I want to go play elsewhere. Who can buy him? It’s a closed circle. PSG enters this circle. Usually, it is about opportunities, situations.”

“The transfer window, we have to prepare for it, and that’s what we do. We have our priorities, our lists, but something unforeseen can happen,” he added.
