Frank Lampard Names Cristiano Ronaldo In His Seven-A-Side Dream Team

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has named Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi among other football greats in his seven-a-side dream team of players he formerly faced as a player.

Frank Lampard is seen as one of the best players to ever play in the English Premier League, and also of the greatest midfielders of all-time, following his long run of 21 years playing career.

During his illustrious career, Lampard won lots of honour both collectively and individually. He boasts of having one of the most glittering resumes in world football, including winning the Premier League on numerous occasions and winning the Champions League. Lampard was also named as the UEFA Best Midfielder of the Year, England Player of the Year, and yet again, he has been honoured Premier League Manager of the Month now at Chelsea.

Frank Lampard, who started his managerial journey at Derby County had faced legendary names during his playing days, and he has recently been asked to choose a seven-a-side team from the opponents he faced during his time as a player.

Frank Lampard Selects His Seven-A-Side Dream Team

Speaking during the virtual Q&A hosted by Hyundai, the Chelsea manager picked a seven-a-side team full of attacking talent and creativity.

“It’s [Manuel] Neuer, Rio [Ferdinand], Steven Gerrard, [Zinedine] Zidane, Ronaldinho, [Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo,” Lampard said.

The former England playmaker was also asked to pick a side in the long-running debate between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, and he had to go for the Barcelona man. But did recognize Ronaldo’s greatness.

“I’m gonna go Messi on this on pure, natural talent but what Ronaldo has done has been absolutely incredible,” he added.
