Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood matches Cristiano Ronaldo Premier League record with an impressive display against Tottenham Hotspur.
The youngster came off the bench to score and assist in United’s 3-1 son over the Spurs on Sunday. Those contributions saw the Greenwood become the first United teenager to score and assist in the same Premier League game since Ronaldo did it against Portsmouth in 2003.
19-year-old Mason Greenwood replaced Marcus Rashford to come on in the 72nd minute and made an immediate impact, assisting Edinson Cavani’s goal before scoring his own in added time.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo was the last United teenager to come off the bench and got a goal and assist in the Premier League against Portsmouth in the 2003-04 season.
