A Juventus Legend Reveals Cristiano Ronaldo Will Leave The Club After This Summer
While on an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, a Juventus legend revealed he believes Cristiano Ronaldo will be heading for an exit at the end of the current season. The Portuguese’s future is completely in the air at the moment after Juventus got eliminated for the third consecutive season in the Champions League.
Ronaldo has been heavily criticized for not helping the team get the desired results since his arrival. Despite commanding a hefty wage bill and many great partners on the team, the former Real Madrid man simply lacked the fortune to win this competition. Thus, after three failed attempts, there are now rumors about his possible exit from the club. And one of the most convinced people that Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving this summer is a Juventus legend in Salvatore Schillaci.
Popularly known as ‘Toto’, the Italian striker was very prominent during the ’80s and ’90s decades. He played for three seasons at Juventus and earned much respect amongst his peers. ‘Toto’, meanwhile, recently offered an interview in which he revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo won’t finish his contract at Juventus. Moreover, there are too many great offers surrounding him that can be more attractive at this stage of his career.

Juventus would want to get some money from Ronaldo’s transfer, who still has a year left in his current contract with the club. So selling the 36-year-old now means they can still negotiate at least €30 million if another club comes to get him. Besides Ronaldo had already stated his intention of playing at the highest level for at least another four seasons.
And for Schillaci, those last years won’t take place at Juventus. From his own words, this is what he revealed to Gazzetta dello Sport: “I don’t know if the club will offer him a contract extension. What I think will happen is that Ronaldo won’t take long to find a new club.”
“All the criticism he got after the Champions League was excessive, we are talking about the best forward in the world. He can have one bad game every now and then. Perhaps Juve underestimated the rivals. I believe Cristiano will give everything for himself and for the club from now until the end of the season. He will prove that Porto was only a setback. I think Inter will win the Scudetto this year. Juve will finish second and they will fight until the end. It wasn’t an easy campaign for the Bianconeri.”
