Arthur Melo Explains How Working With Cristiano Ronaldo Is Different From Working With Lionel Messi

Arthur Melo is one of the few footballers to have played alongside the legendary pair of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. And he is now drawing an interesting comparison between the two icons.

The Brazilian believes that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are ‘identical’ as ‘champions,’ but at the same time explained three ways in which his new colleague differs from his former Barcelona teammate.

Arthur Melo praised the Portuguese ace, revealing that he ‘talks more and is more accessible.’ He also said that Ronaldo always helps and inspires fierce determination to his teammates, while also admitting that he ‘trains like an animal.’

Meanwhile, Arthur’s comparison between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi comes shortly after former Juventus midfielder, Miralem Pjanic, who headed to Barcelona from Juventus last summer as part of the deal that brought the Brazilian to Juventus, gave his own verdict on the pair.

Arthur Melo Compares Cristiano Ronaldo And Lionel Messi

“They’re champions above all else,” the Brazilian midfielder told the Gringolandia podcast.

“In this, Messi and Ronaldo are identical. Concentrated from start to finish, always.

“If they score three goals, they immediately think of the fourth. They never disconnect. It’s impressive and at the same time motivating, because they push you to do your best.

“Compared to Messi, Ronaldo talks more and is more accessible. He never backs down if there is a teammate in need, and he inspires fierce determination.

“He trains like an animal, he doesn’t know what a break is, and he always encourages you to do your best. He also tells me what to eat. He leaves nothing to chance.”

Arthur Melo is not the first person to have compared Ronaldo and Messi. The debate of the pair, who is the best player seems never to come to an end!
