Ronaldo Emerges The Leading Goalscorer In Europe’s Top Five Leagues In 2020
Cristiano Ronaldo has emerged the leading goalscorer in Europe’s top five leagues ahead of the likes of Lionel Messi, Lewandowski, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He might be 35 years of age, but Cristiano is no ordinary player, as such, the age is just a number for him.
Despite running on the twilight years of his career, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner remains as lethal as ever in front of goal which is quite evident from his impressive tally of six goals from five games for Juventus so far this season. Moreover, his participation this season has been cut short after he tested positive for COVID-19 earlier last month. Though he didn’t let the disease weigh him down as he picked up his scoring boots from where he left them upon his return to action nineteen days later.
Meanwhile, the Portugal and Juventus attacker has dominated goalscoring charts in Europe for a greater part of the last decade, and it seems he is determined to keep up with the trend in this decade also.
