Top 20 Most Valuable Football Clubs In The World For 2021

The likes of Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester United, Juventus, and Bayern Munich all made the cut as the most valuable football clubs in the world for the year 2021.

Real Madrid and Manchester United’s 16-year dominance as the world’s most valuable football clubs have come to an end.

FC Barcelona rose as the most valuable football club in the world in 2021, despite a reported debt of €1.173 billion ($1.4 billion). The Catalan club tops the list with a value of $4.76 billion, edging La Liga rivals Real Madrid, who are valued at $4.75 billion in comparison.

As per Forbes, Barcelona has never previously been on top. On the other hand, Real Madrid, who have topped the rankings five times, and 11-time chart-toppers Manchester United had monopolized the top spot for the last 16 years.

The world’s business magazine also reported that the value of football clubs over the last two years rose by 30% despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

As usual, though, the Premier League is strongly represented with six teams making the top 10 alone in Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham.

Meanwhile, a two-year increase in value of 129% has as well allowed Paris Saint Germain to nick a spot in the top 10.

Moreover, Juventus are only in 11th-place. Despite boasting the world’s most marketable football player in Cristiano Ronaldo, the Bianconeri have dropped out of the top 10.
