Taking to social media, the 42-year-old Italian joked around with the Portuguese. “You could have spared me a couple of goals,” Buffon said.
Moreover, the Juventus legend decided to award his teammate with a new nickname relating to the record that he just broke.
“Anyway, congratulations for your umpteenth record in career. CR…760!” he wrote.
Gigi Buffon and Cristiano Ronaldo have been teammates at Juventus for two seasons. The Italian international returned to his original club after a short spell at Paris Saint-German. Buffon even stated in the past that Ronaldo was one of the reasons why he decided to return to Turin.
