REPORT: Real Madrid Set To Trade A Player For Cristiano Ronaldo Signing

In the latest transfer rumors from the Spanish press, Real Madrid is set to trade a player with Juventus for them to sign former star Cristiano Ronaldo. The Spanish giants could reportedly offer players, such as Isco, and a reduced transfer fee to Juventus in a possible bid for Cristiano Ronaldo, Spanish TV network Cuatro reveals.

Although re-signing the 36-year-old is not currently on Real Madrid’s radar, club president Florentino Perez prefers making a transfer bid for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe, whose contract expires in June 2022.

Whilst Erling Haaland is another prominent name on Florentino Perez’s wishlist for summer transfer.

However, rumors over a return for Cristiano have refused to die down. Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, captain Sergio Ramos, and left-back Marcelo have all left the door open for a reunion in the summer transfer window.

Los Blancos Could Only Offer Ronaldo A One-Year Contract

As it is, Real Madrid may only offer Cristiano Ronaldo a one-year deal for two reasons. Firstly, is due to the club’s financial situation from the Covid-19 pandemic. The second is so that Cristiano can pay taxes as a non-Spanish resident, meaning he doesn’t have to declare his income from image rights, unlike last time.

Otherwise, if the five-time Ballon d’Or winner wants more than one year on his contract, he would have to take a pay cut to make it happen.

On the other hand, the Bianconeri could receive a ‘significant’ fee in return for the Portuguese star’s sale, along with a selection of Real Madrid players.

And it is Isco who is mostly tipped to be part of a trade deal which could see Ronaldo return to Santiago Bernabeu as the star is clearly out of favor under Zinedine Zidane and has always interested Juventus.
