Victor Osimhen: ‘I Am Looking Forward To Facing Ronaldo’

Victor Osimhen, who signed for Napoli this summer, is relishing the prospects of facing “one of the greatest players on earth” in Cristiano Ronaldo in Serie A.

Osimhen’s debut season for Lille in Ligue 1 yielded impressive 18 goals and six assists in 38 appearances across all competitions for the French side. Thus, making the Nigerian striker in demand for transfer this summer.

Eventually, Napoli won the race to sign the forward by spending a club-record €70m to obtain his services, smashing the €39m they previously paid for Gonzalo Higuain in 2014 by a whopping €31m.

With his price tag, big expectations are obviously expected from the youngster, which could be a burden. However, Victor Osihmen isn’t fazed and hopes to challenge Ronaldo for the Serie A’s top-scorer award, the “Capocannoniere.”
