‘He Makes Any Team Stronger!’ – Bruno Fernandes Appreciates Having Cristiano Ronaldo To His Portugal Side

Bruno Fernandes appreciates Cristiano Ronaldo’s presence in his Portugal side, saying it is great to have the superstar as he can single-handedly decide matches.

Cristiano Ronaldo was absent in Portugal’s opening Nations League encounter against Croatia following a toe infection. However, the 35-year old forward did return in time to face Sweden on Tuesday night, where he scored both the goals in their 2-0 away victory.

The two goals helped Ronaldo reach a new personal landmark in his international career, historic 100th and 101st goals for his nation.

Meanwhile, the Juventus ace has received many plaudits from several football legends, including Brazilian Pele and FIFA President Infantino, after reaching the milestone.

Also, his two goals ensured that Portugal maintains its lead in Group A3 over the world champions France with a better goal difference.

Bruno Fernandes On Cristiano Ronaldo’s Impact

While on an interview, the Manchester United midfielder admits that with Cristiano Ronaldo, it is always easier to reach the goal.

“We know that [with Ronaldo] it is easier to reach the goal. He has a nose for goal and can solve a game at any time,” Bruno Fernandes said of his skipper, as beIN SPORTS reports.

“That was what happened before half-time, in a free-kick situation. Just yesterday he had six or seven like that in training and today he did the same.”

He then adds that he makes any team stronger.

“It’s great to have Cristiano. He makes any team stronger,” he said.
