‘I See A Bright Future For Juventus,’ Reckons Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo admits he sees a “bright future” for Juventus under their new manager Andrea Pirlo after his brace salvaged a point for the Turin club in their frustrating 2-2 draw against AS Roma.
Despite looking less of themselves against the vibrant Roma side on Sunday night, Juventus came away with a point in Pirlo’s second league game in charge, thanks to Ronaldo’s brace.
Two goals from Jordan Veretout ensured that the Old Lady fell behind twice in the game. The attacking midfielder found the back of the net first through a penalty before Henrikh Mkhitaryan assisted him for a second goal after Cristiano Ronaldo had leveled the first with a well-taken penalty in the same fashion as to that of Roma’s own.
Meanwhile, things before worse for the Bianconeri following Andrien Rabiot’s sending off for a second bookable offense left Juventus with 10-men for close to half an hour.
However, it was Ronaldo’s towering header that rescued the Juventus side for the night after he met Danilo’s cross high up in the end to power home an equalizer to salvage a point for Juve in the 2-2 draw at the Italian capital.
