Former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri was quizzed to choose either Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi outright but instead, the Italian gave a cryptic reply.

Allegri, who managed Cristiano Ronaldo at the Allianz Stadium in the 2018-19 season gave an ambiguous response when asked to compare “two very different players” in Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

However, Allegri has managed to offer one of the most puzzling responses yet.

“They are two very different players,” the former Juve manager told Sky Calcio Club on Sunday night.

“I’d say one is greater, the other is better.”

The response from Allegri could be interpreted in many ways. One could say he rates, Ronaldo, as the greatest player for his past glories and records, while Messi is the more talented one.
