Usain Bolt: Ronaldo Is Faster Than Me Right Now
Olympic legend and sprint king Usain Bolt has said that Juventus and Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo is “definitely” faster than him at the moment.
The eight-time Olympic gold medalist retired from athletics in 2017 and holds the world record for the 100 and 200 metres race. However, the star that has the record for the fastest man in the world believes that Cristiano Ronaldo is the fastest of the two sporting icons at the moment.
“For sure Cristiano [is faster than me],” Usain Bolt tells Marca Sport Weekend. “For me, he works out every day, he is a super athlete.”
“He’s always on top of his game, he works hard and he is focused. Right now I definitely think he would be faster than me,” the sprint king Usain Bolt added.

Meanwhile, at the age of 35 years, Ronaldo continues to break records after he became the second male player in the world and the first in Europe to score 100 international goals in September.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner also scored in his side’s 7-0 victory over Andorra on Wednesday to add to his impressive international goals tally. Now, he needs only but seven goals to equal Ali Daei’s all-time international scoring record and a chance more to surpass him.
On an international level, Ronaldo won his first trophy with Portugal when they defeated France 1-0 in the Euro 2016 final and again helped his national team to lift the inaugural UEFA Nations League title in 2019.
Though age is no longer on his side, Cristiano Ronaldo still has a lot to offer to the Portugal side and the footballing world at large. So let’s enjoy his excellence at the moment!
