Juventus Chief Paratici Speaks Up On Cristiano Ronaldo’s Future
Juventus chief Fabio Paratici insists the club is not thinking about tying down Cristiano Ronaldo to fresh terms at the moment. The Portuguese star’s renewal is not something “on the agenda” for the Bianconeri right now, says their sporting director.
Following the club’s premature exit from the Champions League on Tuesday, Ronaldo’s future has become a subject of intense debate. Both fans and critics have been calling out the 36-year-old for his inability to save his side from humiliation on Tuesday night.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been unable to come even close to inspiring the Old Lady to European glory. The Italian giants have been dumped out of the competition by ‘lesser’ sides in each of the three seasons since his arrival – Ajax, Lyon, and now Porto.

When asked to comment on the speculations surrounding Ronaldo’s future at the Allianz Stadium following last night’s upset, Juventus chief Fabio Paratici said;
“Fortunately, there’s a year left on his contract; we have time eventually to discuss it with him,” the sporting director told Sky Sport Italia. “Let’s just say it’s not on the agenda right now.”
” Cristiano has his career in his hands. Always with these great players, you know that when they decide to end their experience with one team and move on to another experience, it’s they who decide, and you have to respect that decision.
“We have to consider how he will feel in order to continue or not once his contract expires.”
