Former Manchester United Striker Explains How Aging Ronaldo Remains Lethal As Ever
Cristiano Ronaldo, 36 is leading the race for Capocannoniere and is one of the frontrunners for the European Golden Boot. According to former Man United striker Louis Saha, Ronaldo doesn’t care about getting in “pretty positions” and just prioritizes his goal tally.
The former Man United striker tried to explain the Juventus star’s efficiency in front of a goal late in his career as he advises Anthony Martial on how to save his Manchester United career.
Anthony Martial has been struggling this season, with the Frenchman finding it difficult to convert chances and often goes missing in games. So far he has scored only seven goals from 33 games in all competitions this season.

Now, the ex-Red Devils striker, who won two Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy during his four-year stay at Old Trafford, has asked his compatriot to model himself on the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
“Martial naturally comes to the ball to try and help his team in a certain way, but I don’t feel like he helps himself,” Louis Saha told talkSPORT.
“When you look at [Edinson] Cavani he gives a lot of energy and sometimes sacrifices himself on the back of good positions.
“That’s the strength of Cristiano now. He’s at the end of his career and he completely prioritizes how he can score many goals.
“He doesn’t want to be pretty or in nice positions, he just tries to disturb the game, distract the defenders and go to the box. That’s it.”
