Just two minutes after Marcos Alonso opened the scoring for Chelsea at Old Trafford, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner responded with a brilliant goal of his own.

Ronaldo latched onto a beautifully lofted pass from Nemanja Matic and then rifled the ball past Edouard Mendy on the half volley

The finish from the 37-year-old was superb and the first touch he produced to set up his 17th Premier League goal of the campaign was arguably even better.

Meanwhile, it was a rare positive moment for United fans in what’s otherwise been a miserable season overall.
