Cristiano Ronaldo Dreams Of World Cup Glory With Portugal
It is obvious that Cristiano Ronaldo has enjoyed unparalleled success in his entire football career but one major trophy still eludes him, which is the football’s biggest prize at the international level, “the World Cup.”
The forward has set his sight on winning the World Cup with Portugal in Qatar come 2022. Cristiano Ronaldo, having played at the highest club level with Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and now Juventus, has won everything possible to win at club level along with his 18-year senior football career so far.
Although he has enjoyed success with his national team, leading his nation to Euro 2016 and Nations League glory, the 35-year-old is yet to get his hands on the international football’s biggest trophy. Ronaldo has failed to take his country beyond the Last 16 in the last three World Cup tournaments. Meanwhile, the veteran forward would be 37 years by the time the tournament kicks off in 2022 and he is hoping he could finally light the trophy when he gets to Qatar in what would possibly be his final World Cup tournament.
