Despite being linked recently with moves away from the club, Juventus have confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo and Dybala will be saying with the club beyond this season. The club has informed the Argentina and Portuguese forward that they among their plans for the future.
New Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo has made it clear that he has the intention of building the club around Cristiano Ronaldo and Dybala. The Italy international is starting to shape his squad for the 2020-2021 campaign following the club’s premature exit from the Champions League this term.
Top Europe Clubs Show Interest in Cristiano Ronaldo and Dybala
Dated back since last season, Paulo Dybala has been linked with a move away from Turin with reports suggesting interests from Real Madrid and the Premier League. However, new manager Andrea Pirlo has taken a step to block any attempt to lure the Argentine away from Juventus.
On the other hand, there have been rumors circulating that Barcelona has offered Cristiano Ronaldo transfer last week. But the superstar’s inner circle has denied any contact and said the Portuguese intend to remain with the Old Lady.
Moreover, in a six-hour meeting with sporting director Fabio Paratici, Pirlo highlighted his intentions with the team. And while the Italian giant needs to sell in order to balance the books, Cristiano Ronaldo and Dybala are not among the exit ramp.
To cement the claims, it appears that Dybala has received word from the Bianconeri board that he is firmly in the new manager’s plans. Thus, Serie A MVP for the 2019-20 season will be persuaded to stay in Turin with a new contract offer on the table. Cristiano Ronaldo and Dybala have contracts with Juventus until the summer of 2022 but at least one of them is expected to pen down a new contract with the club in October when the transfer window closes.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Dybala Are the Key Players at Juve Despite Exit Talks
Cristiano Ronaldo and Dybala were the key brains behind Juventus’ Scudetto success this season, taking the club’s tally to nine in succession. Ronaldo contributed 37 goals and 8 assists across all competitions, while Paulo Dybala added 17 goals and 14 assists to the team’s success.
Dybala’s absence in the Juve’s elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Lyon didn’t go unnoticed as the team lacked link-up play from the midfield to attack. The Argentina international was linked to Manchester United a year ago, but it looks certain the Juve hierarchy won’t entertain any suitor this summer.
A large number of the Juventus squad could be made available for transfer following the exit of Blaise Matuidi to Inter Miami on a free transfer and Miralem Pjanic to Barca in a swap deal that will see Arthur Melo switch to Turin.
