Pirlo Gives Update On Ronaldo’s Fitness Ahead Of Barcelona Clash
There is a growing concern for the Turin faithful due to Cristiano Ronaldo’s unavailability after contracting coronavirus earlier this month. So far the star forward is yet to recover, which has put his participation in the crucial game against FC Barcelona in doubts. Plus there’s not positive update on his availability yet from his manager Andrea Pirlo during the press conference ahead of the fixture.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been on isolation at home ever since he tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday, October 13. The 35-year old forward has already missed three of Juventus’ games, and his absence has been greatly felt as the Bianconeri have failed to win two of those games, scoring only two goals in both of their last two league goals and picking just two points out of six.
That notwithstanding, Juventus are set to face their biggest test of the season so far on Wednesday when they go head-to-head with Spanish giants Barcelona, led by Ronaldo’s nemesis Lionel Messi. After weeks of optimism, the Serie A defending champions will be hoping to take to the field with their talisman, but the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s availability is still in doubts.

Pirlo Talks Up Ronaldo’s Availability In Press Conference
The unwanted truth is that if the test results from Cristiano Ronaldo’s latest swab comes out tonight with the undesired outcome, the UCL five-time winner will have to wait until December before he can face his arch-rival, Lionel Messi once again.
“We must wait for the outcome [of Ronaldo’s COVID-19 test], I think the result will come tonight,” Andrea Pirlo said in his pre-match press conference, as quoted by Football Italia.
“First we wait for the outcome and then we’ll see. For now, everything is still on the high seas, and then we’ll see. We hope to evaluate it, even if it’s hard after 15 days out.”
The world is anticipating Ronaldo’s test results tonight, and we hope that it turns negative so that he can face-off with Lionel Messi in the highly-anticipated Champions League game tomorrow!
Please, let’s wish him well!
