Andrea Pirlo Answers To Cristiano Ronaldo’s Free-Kick Jinx
Since Cristiano Ronaldo’s 2018 summer move from Real Madrid to Juventus, he has only managed one free-kick goal in an official match for the Bianconeri. However, the Portuguese superstar is working hard in training to end his free-kick jinx and knows he will do it ‘soon’, says a confident Andrea Pirlo.
Cristiano has returned a sensational 88 goals and 21 assists in only 116 appearances for Juventus since joining the Italian side. The 36-year-old forward continues to defy his age and is gunning for his first Serie A golden boot in three years as he is the favorite to finish atop the league’s scoring charts.
Moreover, critics have been quick to note that only one of Ronaldo’s 88 goals has come from a free-kick, which came in a 4-1 win over Torino last July.

“Free-kick goals are important, they can decide games, especially against teams that sit deep,” Pirlo said in a press conference on Sunday afternoon.
“Ronaldo is training well and is improving. He is more serene, and he knows he is soon going to score from a free-kick.”
Meanwhile, the last free-kick goal scored by Ronaldo in a competitive game was in a 2-0 Nations League win over Sweden in September for Portugal.
The former Real Madrid and Manchester United man will hope to end his drought in Juventus’ match against Crotone on Monday night in Serie A.
