Pele Reacts After Cristiano Ronaldo Broke His Goals Record
A few weeks ago when Lionel Messi smashed Pele’s goals record, which has drawn a classy message from the Brazilian legend. However, it has seemed that Pele doesn’t like the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo broke surpassed him as football’s top scorer.
After Ronaldo broke Pele’s goals record on Sunday night after a win over Udinese in Serie A, Pele didn’t react in the same manner to Ronaldo breaking his record as he did when Lionel Messi broke one of his other records.
As Messi scored the most goals for a single club, the Brazilian legend wrote an emotional message to the FC Barcelona man that made headlines around the world. But then Ronaldo surpassed him to become the second all-time top scorer in football history and Pele hasn’t said a single word yet.
That’s not all, Pele instead opted to update his Instagram profile to remind the world that he scored 1,282 goals throughout his professional career. However, FIFA doesn’t count those extra goals that the legend claimed he scored because they happened during charity games. But even at that, the Brazilian still thinks he actually scored those numbers and he won’t accept Ronaldo’s record.

From FIFA’s claim, Pele only scored 757 goals throughout his career and the ones he is claiming don’t count.
