Cristiano Ronaldo Guinness World Records keeps rolling in as the player breaks new records more often than any other footballer. Despite, his age the player scores more goals than most younger strikers.

Just recently, Ronaldo broke Ali Daei’s international goal records of 109 goals to become the player with the most international goals in men’s football at 111 goals in 180 appearances for Portugal.

Before now, the player has received a couple of recognitions from the Guinness World Records and here are highlights on some of the most important ones.

1. Top International goalscorer of all-time

Ronaldo scored twice in the World Cup qualifier against Ireland to become the all-time leading goalscorer in men’s international football at 111 goals which is 2 goals ahead previous record holder Ali Daei.

2. Most Champions League goals

When it comes to the Champoins League, Ronaldo has set so many records one of which is the Most Champions League goal by a striker. He has scored 134 goals in 175 Champions League appearances.

3. Most goals in a UEFA European club competition season (17)

While Radamel Falcao share this record with Ronaldo, Falcao only scored more of his goal at the Europa league games while Ronaldo scored at the Champions League 17 goals in 2013/14 with Real Madrid.

4. Consecutive Champions League games scored

No other player has gone close to eleven games and scoring in all of them in the Champions League but Ronaldo. This record came between 2016/17 and 2017/18 campaigns.

5. Top scorers across ALL UEFA club competitions

It seems like Ronaldo’s goal records is endless, he is the player with the most goals across UEFA UEFA European club competitions.

The Portuguese striker has scored a total of 134 goals across the following competitions: Champions League, UEFA Cup Winners’s Cup, Europa League, UEFA Intertoto Cup, UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup.

6. The oldest player to score a World Cup hat-trick (33 years and 130 days)

At the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia Ronaldo became the oldest player to scored a hat-trick at the tournament. He is also the first Portuguese player to score in four consecutive World Cups.

Ronaldo has scored in four different World Cups for Portugal (2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018). He is currently sharing the records with notable legends Pele of Brazil (1958, 1962, 1966 and 1970), Uwe Seeler of West Germany (1958, 1962, 1966 and 1970) and Miroslav Klose of Germany (2002, 2006, 2010, and 2014).

8. Most goals scored in the UEFA European Championships

Ronaldo became the all-time top goalscorer of the European Championship after winning the Euro 2020 Golden Boot with five goals in July 2021. With 14 goals in total he beats Michel Platini.

9. Most successful penalty-taker in La Liga

While at Real Madrid Ronaldo took an incredible 72 penalties in La Liga alone and scored 61 of them to become the most successful spot-kick taker ever in the Spain. Closely followed by Real Madrid icon Hugo Sanchez who scored 56 penalties.

10. Highest-rated player in FIFA 18

When it comes to FIFA 18 Ronaldo has the overall rating of 99% ahead of Messi and Pele at 98%, making the highest rated player in FIFA 18.
