‘Ronaldo Can’t Wait!’ – Andrea Pirlo Sends ‘CR7’ Warning To FC Porto

Andrea Pirlo is ready to unleash a rested Cristiano Ronaldo on FC Porto in a must-win Champions League clash on Tuesday. From the Bianconeri’s boss, Ronaldo is rested and all fired-up to face Porto in Tuesday’s encounter.

With the Champions League second-leg tie against Porto in mind, Cristiano Ronaldo took a spot on the bench in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Lazio. The League’s leading goalscorer came on for the final 21 minutes to help maintain Juve’s lead and is now all set for the Champions League game.

The Old Lady needs their superstar to be in his best form for the second leg after a 2-1 damaging defeat in the first leg in Portugal a fortnight ago.

“Cristiano is fine, these are his matches. He’s fired up, he’s been able to rest and can’t wait,” Andrea Pirlo said in a pre-match conference on Monday afternoon.

” We know the pressure is on us, but we don’t hide. We have what it takes to go through, but we won’t underestimate our opponents. However, we are Juventus and we have to think about qualifying.”

The rookie manager could welcome back Giorgio Chiellini for the showdown, with the Juventus skipper seen training at Continassa on Monday. Moreover, a return for Matthijs de Ligt looks unlikely after the Dutchman featured in just the warm-up phase.

“Chiellini trained with the team,” confirmed Pirlo. “He’s not at his best, but I think he can be available for tomorrow,” added the Juve boss.

Meanwhile, Arthur Melo isn’t at 100% yet, but the Brazilian is in contention for a start, while Federico Bernardeschi could continue as a left-back.

Elsewhere, Paulo Dybala is still a doubt, Rodrigo Bentancur is unavailable due to a positive COVID-19 test last week, and Danilo is suspended.
