This new video is showcasing the 20 times Cristiano Ronaldo has carried and saved Juventus for the past two years. The superstar’s decision to swap Real Madrid for Juventus in the summer of 2018 took many by surprise. Some questioned his decision for taking the risk of seeking for a new challenge so late in his career after it appeared that he had won everything possible in Spain.
At his age, most players are either retired, settled for a bit-part roled ay their club, or prolonging their careers outside Europe; likewise, handing their boots from international football.
However, Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t just an ordinary player and would never opt to settle for the less. Recently, he scored his 60th Serie A goal in only 69 appearances. Meanwhile, it has never been in the Italian League’s history that any player clocked such amount of goals in such a little time. But Ronaldo just did that at the age of 35 years old. Plus the fact that should Juventus retain their Serie A title this season, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will be key once more!
Moreover, the Bianconeri have always seen their performances dwindle whenever the Portuguese is without the squad especially this season. Ronaldo has so far scored 8 goals for the Old Lady in just 5 Serie A appearances this term amounting to 49 per cent of the teams effort all season.
Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo opted to rest his superstar in this weekend’s Serie A trip to Benevento. But the Rookie boss would in some way regret his decision after a sloppy display from his chosen side as they drop points further in the league following another disappointing 1-1 draw. The result leaves them adrift of the league leaders AC Milan.
So with all that’s been said, let’s check out a video of the 20 times Cristiano Ronaldo has carried and saved Juventus since he arrived in Turin two years ago!
