It’s no secret that Cristiano Ronaldo has always kept tabs on the things that concern Manchester United, the club where he spent six years of his early career. Now the former Manchester United forward has praised Bruno Fernandes’ goal in the Champions League against Istanbul Basaksehir.

Bruno Fernandes, who also shares a similar career path the Juventus ace, was on fire when he took to the pitch for Manchester United’s most recent Champions League match. The midfielder’s performance has earned him some seal of approval from the Champions League leading goalscorer in history.

Fernandes scored two goals in the opening minutes of the 4-1 win against Istanbul Basaksehir. The attacking midfielder’s opening goal came inside just seven minutes into the match, when he scored an exquisite half-volley from the edge of the penalty area before going on to tap home from a close range for his second of the night.
